In the name of God amen I Thomas Alford of the County of Wythe state of Virginia being
sick and indisposed in Body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do make and
declare this to be my last Will and Testament in the following manner to wit
Imprimis I will that all my Just debts and funeral expenses be discharged out of my
personal estate, the residue after paying my Just debts I leave and bequeath to my son
Moses Alford who is to maintain his mother Elizabeth Alford during her natural life and
to pay his Brothers and Sisters and to the Representatives of those who may be dead One
dollar Currency to each of them hereby making void all former Wills by me made declaring
and publishing this to be my Last Will and Testament. Lastly I do constitute and appoint
Elizabeth Alford my wife and Moses [The name Thomas was originally written here and is
scratched through, and the name Moses written above.] Alford my son Executor to this my
will with full power and Authority to Execute every thing that may appear after my
decease necessary.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 14th day
of November 1805.

This the last Will and Testament of Thomas Alford Deceased was proven in Court by the
Oaths of Thomas Boyd, Humphrey Ellis and Henry Christly, Witnesses thereto and the same
is Ordered to be Recorded.
