I, Leander H. Alford of the Town of Social Hill, in the County of Hot Spring and State of
Arkansas, being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same: do make
and publish this my last will and testament.
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy A. Alford, all my household furniture and all
the rest of my personal property to be hers forever. I also give, devise and bequeath to
my beloved wife Nancy A. Alford all my real estate as long as she shall live.
I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife, Nancy A. Alford to be the sole Executrix of this
my last Will and Testament.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal, and publish and decree this to be my
last Will and Testament in presence of the witnesses named below this 8 day of March. In
the year of Our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety-seven.
Signed, sealed, declared and published by the said Leander H. Alford as and for his last
Will and Testament.
In presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in presence of each other,
have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

Personally appeared before me, F. M. Henry, Clerk of the County and Probate Courts of
Hot Spring County aforesaid;
W. T. Carroll and W. T. Turner, to me well known, who being duly sworn, say: That they
are the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing, purporting to be
the last Will and Testament of L. H. Alford deceased, that said instrument was executed,
at the time, place, and by the person therein named, that said L. H. Alford the Testator
was at the time of signing said instrument upwards of twenty-one years of age, and of
sound and disposing mind and memory, and that in the presence of both of these affiants
he declared it to be his last Will and Testament, and subscribed his name thereto in the
presence of both of these affiants, that at the request of said Testator affiants wrote
their names to his said Will in his presence and in the presence of each other, that the
subscriptions to the foregoing instrument of writing are genuine, and that said instrument
which is hereto attached is the identical one that affiants so witnessed and saw the said
L. H. Alford sign.
