AAFA WILLS
WILL OF KINCHEN ALFORD


In the name of God amen,

I Kinchen Alford of the County of Franklin & state of North Carolina being of sound mind & memory do make & constitute this my last will & Testament. -- --

Item 1. That my Executor administrator out of the proceeds of my Estate pay my Burial Expences as well as all my Just Debts.

2nd. That my wife Sinney Alford should She survive me have the use during Her natural Live of the residue of my Estate. -- --

3rd. I bequeath to William Alford Two hundred & Thirty Two Dollars to bear Interest from the 31st January, 1848.

4th. To Sippey Alford the sum of Two Hundred & Thirty Two Dollars to bear Ints from the 31st January, 1848.

5. To Kinchen Alford the sum of Two Hundred & Thirty Two Dollars, to bear Ints from the 31st January, 1848.

6. To Elizabeth Williams wife of M. D. Williams the sum of Two hundred & Thirty Two Dollars & Ints from the 31st Jany. 1848 I loan during Her natural Life & at Her decease I give the same to Her children Then living in fee simple.

7. To after the decease of my wife Sinney Alford that my estate left Her as afforsaid be sold & the amount stated before be paid out of the same & that the residue be equally divided between my Lawful Heirs with the exception of Burgess Mullins & His Heirs.

8. I appoint Briant Young & Simon Alford my Executors & do hereby revoke any & all former wills by me made.

Executed under my hand & seal this 15th day of Novr. 1848.

Codicil To The Foregoing Will --- ---

Whereas I Kinchen Alford haveing made my last will & Testament in Writing bearing date the 15th day of Novr. 1848 & have thereby made sundry devises & bequest, according to the Then Existing Circumstances of my Estate but which Circumstances having now materially changed, I do by this my Writing Which I hereby declare To be a Codicil to my said Will to be taken & Construed as a part thereof. --

Will & direct that the sum of two Hundred & Twenty Dollars 72/100 cents only be paid to each of my sons & Daughters (that is to say) William Sippey Kinchen & Elizabeth in full, instead of the sums of Two hundred & Thirty Two Dollars as directed in said part of my will. But that They shall have the Interest on the Sums of Two Hundred & Thirty Two Dollars up to this present date & afterwards in this part of my last will & Testament of Two Hundred & Twenty Dollars & 72/100 cents up to the final settlement of the Whole to be disposed of by my Executors as directed in said part of my will & Testiment of which this Codicil is a part.
