Home page for Robin A. Sterling, AAFA #0320
Robin, known to some of us as Bob, joined the AAFA in 1990, he had been active in the Alford effort since the year before with his participation in "About Alfords." Few, if any, have contributed more Alford information to the association. One example is the 386 page paper copy made from an Alford surname microfilm he found in the library. Not only did he make the paper copy, he transcribed much of it to emails and computer files, the content of which can be found in AAFA quarterlies and on the website. His AAFA file is so large that it requires two binders, and that does not count the 386 pages mentioned above. He has visited AAFA central as part of his effort to help further the Alford cause. He was a pioneer in doing early Internet research. He was responsible for arranging for Robert S. Davis as the guest speaker at the 1995 Alabama meeting.
