Mike was an early generous contributor of data and information to AAFA. It included Alfords in general as well as those of his branch of the family. At a time when really needed he prepared an article for the quarterly that was a mini-autobiography with photos. Mike was a pioneer in the Alford Y-DNA project, being the first to submit his DNA and then recruiting the next several participants.
