Home page for James Patrick Alford, AAFA #0115
Jim, better known to many as "Jim - Houston" to distinguish him from James Posey Alford, joined AAFA in 1988 and became one of the most prolific article contributors to the quarterly. It started in 1989 with his "Organization: Just What You Need." He was an avid correspondent, especially with Captain Lodwick Alford, Gil Alford, and Christie Alford Baldwin. Some of the exchanges were published in the quarterly. He brought to the association an extensive Alford data base as well as a lengthy Alford bibliography. He was very helpful in the compilation of the genealogy for his branch of the family. There are several hundred pages in his AAFA file.
