            Eleanor Veazey Bowers—Age 90, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Dunwoody, GA, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2008, after an extended illness. Although Alzheimer's Disease devastated her body and mind, her sweet spirit and gentle loving heart continued to shine through. She was the consummate wife, mother, and grandmother, a true Southern Lady. Beautiful memories of her and the wonderful woman she was will live on forever in the hearts of family and friends.

            Eleanor is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 69 years, Bates B. Bowers, Sr. of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her children, Bates B. Bowers, Jr. of Griffin, GA, Robert W. Bowers (wife Kitty) of Lawrenceville, GA and Rebecca Becky Caldwell of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; grandchildren, Britt Bowers (wife Tammy), Brandon Bowers (wife Brandee), Blake Bowers and Christie, Kelly, and Cam Caldwell; great grandchildren, Brin Bowers and Troy Pennington. She is also survived by her brothers, Charlton S. Veazey (wife Gene) of Greensboro, GA and E. Lincoln Veazey of Snellville, GA; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

            The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL. A Memorial Service and interment will be held in Greensboro, GA, Eleanor's family home on May 17, 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Vitas Hospice Care, 1901 S. Congress Ave., # 420, Boynton Beach, FL 33426 with mention of Team # 301.
