            Sam Walker Wilson Jr., Age 90, of DeSoto, Texas. Passed away peacefully at home on June 18, 2012. He was born March 25, 1922 in Lake Wales, Florida to parents, Sam W. Wilson Sr. and Susan D'Mae Evans.

            Sam was the oldest of two. He married Anita M. Krieger, in Mineral Wells, Texas on December 24, 1944. They had three children. He attended Texas A&M and graduated in 1947 with a degree in Engineering. He served in the Army for three years and served in WWII, earning WWII Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal. He was a longtime resident of DeSoto, Texas for 46 years and was employed by Oncor as a Engineer for 35 years. Sam was a member of First United Methodist Church of DeSoto. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, also silver and turquoise jewelry making.

            Sam will be remembered by his loving wife and their children, Sharon Watts, Lorraine and Wally Tallent, and Sam Wilson III. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Wilson.

            Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Sam at 9:00 AM Friday June 22, 2012, with the funeral service starting at 10:00 AM, Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
