            Kathryn Tipton Dickenson passed into eternity Saturday [September 25], surrounded by her family. She is now face to face with Jesus Christ, praising her Savior all the day long.

            Born June 22, 1937 to Ralph and Ernestine Tipton, she is survived by her husband, James E. Dickenson. Her sons are Jim Dickenson, Jr. and Forest (Denise) Dickenson. Her granddaughters are Amanda, Julianna, and Alicia. Her grandsons are Austin and Edward. She also leaves her siblings, Ralph E (Mary Ann) Tipton and Peggy Bright, and a host of nieces and nephews.

            With an MS from Memphis State, she taught elementary school for 20 years. Upon retirement, she was very involved in NSDAR and ministries at Central Church.

            Visitation is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 29 at Kirby Woods Baptist Church, 6325 Poplar, 682-2220. Services follow at 12 noon. Private burial.

            In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are sent to Calvary Rescue Mission Building Fund, 960 S. Third, Memphis, 38106.
