We could not locate an obituary for Lindy, but her niece Amber VanSantford, AAFA #0858, sent a copy of her memorial service program, which includes photos and a brief history of her life. She died Tuesday, 1 January 2008 in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, San Diego Co., CA. A graveside memorial service was held on 14 June 2008 in Iowa, where she was born:

            She was the great-granddaughter of Melzer Alvord and Lura Smith, granddaughter of Henry Dwight Alvord and Martha Eliza Rawson, and daughter of Jessie Lucina Alvord and Joseph Edward Lindstrom.
