            Ross D. Gainey, 85, a retired accountant, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009, until service time at 1:00 p.m.at Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Gainey was a native of Scott County and a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Lakeland, FL. He served in the United States Army during World War II at the Battle of Bulge.

Survivors include: his wife, Lucille Gainey of Ridgeland; brother, H. C. Gainey of Martin, TN; and sisters, Rachel Coghlan of Decatur and Jimmie Lee Anderson of Greenwood.
