Betty Jane Key, 80, of Memphis died Friday June 1, 2007 at the Methodist University Hospital. She was born May 15, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of the late Franklin S. and Della A. Carpenter Key.
She was formerly employed with Memphis Title Company. She was a member of numerous Genealogical Associations in Virginia, Arkansas, Mississippi and Missouri and was a Matriarch of the First Block of North Auburdale.
Betty is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Philip D. and Carolyn Key of St. Louis, Missouri; a grandson in heart, Brian Phebus of Memphis; a neighbor, Ray; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the Heath Colonial Chapel.... Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery....
