            Funeral services for Dorothy Horne Alford will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 26, 1998 from the graveside at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, FL, with Rev. George Lutz, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

            Mrs. Alford was born on June 17, 1911 in Jacksonville, FL and died on January 24, 1998 in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Alford was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Walter Hoyle Alford.

            She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Chambliss and her husband, John and Vesta Beany; brother, Howard Horne; four grandchildren, John Chambliss, Dale Chambliss Long, Kristen Beany Hogue, and Karla Beany Venos; and four great-grandchildren.

            Family will receive friends Sunday (today) from 2– 4 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Methodist Hospice.
