WEST POINT [Clay Co.]—Louise Alford, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. She was a native of Choctaw County, a former resident of McCool and a resident of Clay County since 1934. She was the payroll coordinator for Bryan Foods for 30 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church EPC, where she was Sunday school secretary. She was a member of the Pilot Club of West Point.

            Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel.... Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Weir.

            Survivors include three nieces, Mary Ann Vanlandingham of Jackson, Rosalyn W. Kelly of New Albany and Carol Pearson of Florence; five nephews, Bernard Strawbridge of Jackson, Billy Strawbridge of Indianola, Kenneth Whitmore of Weir, Sammie Whitmire of McCool and Dwain Alford of Enterprise, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Elsie M. Alford of Enterprise, Ala.; special friends, Kay and James Bagwell of West Point.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alexander Hutchinson and William Vernon Alford; brothers and sisters, Frank Alford, Leonard Alford, Inez McKinley, Mabel Strawbridge and Nellie Whitmire....

            Funeral services for Miss Louise Alford, age 87, of West Point, MS, were held December 31, 2003 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Davis and Rev. Ann Houston Kelly officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Weir, MS. Miss Alford died December 28, 2003 at North MS Medical Center in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

            Miss Alford was a Member of First Presbyterian Church EPC and a payroll Coordinator for Bryan Foods for 30 years. She was a native of Choctaw County. Miss Alford was a resident of Clay County since 1934. She was a Member of the Pilot Club of West Point. She served as Secretary of Sunday School at First Presbyterian EPC.

            She was the daughter of the late Mary Alexander Hutchinson and William Vernon Alford. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Frank Alford, Leonard Alford, Inez McKinley, Mabel Strawbridge and Nellie Whitmire.        Memorials: First Presbyterian Church EPC Building Fund, P.             Pallbearers: Bill Strawbridge, Bernard Strawbridge, Sammie Whitmire, Kenneth Whitmire, Fred Morgan, Andy Vanlandingham, Danny Kelly, Dwain Alford.
