            Virginia Alford passed away Monday, March 22nd after several years of declining health.

            She was the daughter of Lemmie J. Massey and Vera Debnam Massey, both deceased. Her brother, Don Hugh Massey also preceded her in death.

            She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Cloyce B. Alford; her daughter, Lynette Kozar and husband, Alex of Wake Forest; daughter, Sandra B. Alford of Raleigh; grandchildren, Corey S. Kozar and wife, Beth, Matthew Kozar and Andrew Kozar; great-grandchildren, Virginia Brayden and Hannah Frances Kozar; her sister, Peggy Mincey and husband, George of Zebulon.

            Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3100 Noble Rd, Raleigh on Wednesday, March 24th at 2:00 p.m.

            Visitation will be held at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, on Tuesday, March 23rd from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Upchurch-Alford-Bunn Cemetery, US 64-Business, Pilot, NC.

            The family would like to thank all who prayed for Virginia during her illness. A special thanks to Hospice of Wake County for their love and support.
