Major Eulon A. Alford, USAF (ret) died April 28,
1993 in North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond LA. Husband of Yvonne Felder Alford
of Hammond. Father of Shirley Alford Brilleaux of Essex, England and Paul
William Alford of Hammond. Grandfather of Kelly Elizabeth Brilleaux and
Nicholas Paul Brilleaux of Essex, England. Brother of Kathleen Reeves of
Albany, Helen Bankston of Hammond Chat Johnson of Lake Charles, Lillian
McFarland of Houston, TX, and the late Lucille Cole, Mary Cory, and Bailey
Monroe Alford, Jr. Age 71.
Native of Lorange, LA and resident of Hammond.
He was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II and Commander of the 236 Mobil
Communication Flight, Hammond, LA. He was past president of Hammond Rotary, and
retired as a public school teacher having served in St. Tammany and Tangipahoa
Parishes; he was a Gideon and Deacon and active member of Immanuel Baptist
Church in Hammond, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend the
religious services at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on
Saturday, May 1 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in the John Felder Memorial
Cemetery, Summit, MS. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel on Friday,
April 30 from 6 until 10 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
American heart Fund or to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, Hammond,
LA.

Major Eulon Alfred Alford, USAF (ret), a native
of Loranger and a resident of Hammond, died Wednesday at North Oaks Medical
Center.
Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Hammond, tonight from 6 to 10 and on Saturday, after 8 a.m. until
the funeral, to be conducted by Dr. Lonnie Wascom at 10 a.m. Burial will be in
John Felder Memorial Cemetery, Summit, Miss.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Felder
Alford, Hammond; a daughter, Shirley Alford Brilleaux, Essex, England; a son,
Paul William Alford, Hammond; four sisters, Kathleen Reeves, Albany, Helen
Bankston, Hammond, Chat Johnson, Lake Charles, and Lillian McFarland, Houston,
and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille
Cole and Mary Cory, and a brother, Bailey Monroe Alford Jr.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
American Heart Fund or the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air
Force, Commander of Mobil Communications Flight #236 of Hammond, past president
of the Hammond Rotary, a Gideon, a deacon and active member of Immanuel Baptist
Church and a retired educator, having served in St. Tammany and Tangipahoa
Parish. (Died 4/28/93).
